The Don’t mess with me I have a crazy Grandpa shirt that I worked for would not allow euthanasia on any healthy animal or even one that might just need a little medical treatment. It had to be proven that it was suffering and terminal before they would agree to. They usually had them sign an owner surrender. Then we would find a home for it after we nursed it back to health. I can understand having an animal so sick that the medical cost would be beyond someone’s ability to pay, especially if the medical intervention might not improve the animal’s future quality of life. But just wanting to “get rid” of an animal that is undesirable.
