I rescued an I’m The Father That Stepped Up Shirt of 5 from another state and rehomed all but one. He was a protective loyal dog of 15 yrs. My second I purchased from a private breeder. This girl was sweet as pie. Lived 15years. They required a lot of maintenance and attention. They are prone to certain health issues. My point is, if you don’t research your breed or the full responsibilities of a pet owner, bad things happen to these pups. Dalmatians are another; adults go by then for their kids thinking it’s cute bc of the Disney movie and when the dog doesn’t listen, they get frustrated and often angry and the dog suffers.
