I just love the This Witch Love Her Steelers Halloween Shirt and someone walking towards me with their Steelers on a leash has to employ the grip of death because the Steelers is snarling and barking at me! It seems to be a common problem around here and it makes me wonder what they’re doing to them? Being protective over food is not a good thing. That is a behavior that needs to be corrected, however growling at someone unknown approaching home ground or their owner is acceptable, so long as when the owner says it’s okay, the Steelers relaxes. All of my babies are rescued, the one was people shy for years, we are finally getting her to be alright once we say it’s okay. It takes time. & for the love of god, if your pet does something unacceptable in public, like a kid, you are allowed to punish the pet. People are always telling me to put my Steelers down, cause the growl when people come to close to us.
