Why does it matter? Isn’t Jill questioning human Auntie Shark Shirt? She’s just offering up that her dog-care is a form of mothering. Why do you have Auntie to go and stamp that out?  Let the live man enjoy your parenting human or otherwise.  I am well aware that he isn’t a human. I don’t treat him like he is a human. But he does depend on me for everything. People are just miserable and like to drag other Auntie down. I don’t listen to them nor let them get to me.  I think you missed the day they were passing out empathy. The ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. To love unconditionally. To see something from someone else’s point of view. Many people who love their animals don’t even call or consider themselves pet “owners” any longer.
